Things have been pretty quiet as of late for the Arkansas State’s ‘22 recruiting class but Red Wolves fans received some great news on Tuesday morning. Head coach Butch Jones landed his highest rated recruit thus far in the 2022 circuit in three-star tight end Miller McCrumby.
Miller McCrumby is a 6’4, 205-pound tight end out of Mount Pleasant High School in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He is currently ranked as a Top-100 prospect in Texas for the Class of 2022 according to 247Sports. Teams like Colorado State, and Sun Belt foe Louisiana, are some of the nine schools that have extended an offer out to him thus far. He also is a three sport athlete as he plays basketball, and competes in track and field for the Tigers.
Not only is this Arkansas State’s highest rated recruit for this recruiting class; McCrumby is actually one of the highest rated recruits currently committed to a Sun Belt team. Also according to 247Sports Miller McCrumby is the sixth highest ranked recruit to ever commit to the Red Wolves. This is obviously a very big commitment, and adds yet another solid piece to this growing offense.
He joins three-star quarterback Jaxon Dailey who is currently the seventh best recruit to commit to the Red Wolves. Ahmad Robinson is a three-star cornerback, and viewed as the ninth best recruit in Arkansas State history. That makes for three of the Top-10 best recruits the football program has ever seen could possibly all come into together. Currently Arkansas State has the fourth highest recruiting class in the Sun Belt conference.
