4-Star QB Jalen Milroe Flips From Texas to Alabama

For months we have heard rumbles of Nick Saban making a late push for Longhorn commit Jalen Milroe, and it looks like Quinn Ewers commitment was enough to make it official. Monday night Milroe tweeted out that he would be de-commiting for the University of Texas and committing to the University of Alabama.

Jalen Milroe committed to the Longhorns back in July 2019 just a few weeks after receiving his offer from the school. He held offers from schools like Florida State, Oregon and of course Alabama.

Coming in at 6’1.5 and 192-pounds, Jalen Milroe is one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the 2021 cycle. 247Sports has him as the No. 10 player in the state of Texas and their No. 4 DT-QB in the nation. Last season the Katy, Texas native racked up 2,689 yards passing, 28 passing touchdowns, and 378 yards rushing and another eight touchdowns for Tompkins High School

The Crimson Tide continues to steal talent out of the Lone Star State for its 2021 recruiting cycle. Saban already has received a commitment from both Brockermeyer twins, and Duncanville’s Kendrick Blackshire. This now puts Alabama atop the recruiting team rankings for the Class of 2021, narrowly passing Ohio State.
