Four-Star RB Caden Durham Commits to LSU Over Oklahoma & Texas A&M!

The LSU Tigers have officially invaded the Lone Star State!
Caden Durham announced Thursday evening that he will be taking his talents to Baton Rouge. Durham is the 11th best recruit in Texas and the 7th overall RB while also being one of the Top-75 recruits in this cycle according to Rivals. He was also the only running back that Brian Kelly and LSU were recruiting out of this class, making the commitment even more important.

I am actually a Dallas, Texas native and have gotten to see Caden blossom into his own over the past two seasons. He really broke out last season helping Duncanville have one of the best rushing attacks in the state. Not only did he rush for nearly 2,000 yards and 36 touchdowns last season; he rushed for three of those touchdowns in the state championship game.
This helped Duncanville go 16-0, capturing their first state title since 1998. To make it even sweeter it was against their state rivals, North Shore High School, who had beaten them the last three times they’ve met, all being for the state title.
On top of being an amazing running back, Caden is one of the fastest sprinters in the country. He will be running the 100M at LSU as well as playing for their football team. Durham has recorded a 10.2 in the 100M dash, and competed in the 2022 AAU Junior Olympics.
Oklahoma was a heavy contender for Durham’s pledge, but once they landed Taylor Tatum things seemed to switch in favor for the Tigers. His mother was a track star for the Sooners, and grew up in a big Sooner family. However LSU had always been in the mix, and will not only be able to have more snaps for Durham, they also have a legit chance to compete for a National title soon.
This now gives LSU five commits from the Lone Star state, with three committing in the past two weeks.
Four-star athlete Jelani Watkins recently committed to the Tigers, along with four-star offensive tackle Ory Williams. Watkins is another track star  from Houston and will also be running the 100M for LSU. It also jumps the Tigers to the 7th overall recruiting class for this cycle passing up teams like Penn State, Tennessee and Notre Dame.
After finishing 6th overall last season, it looks like Brian Kelly has proven all his doubters wrong and continued to be one of the best recruiters in the country. He now gets the No. 1 running back on his board for this cycle, and continues to round out this roster with talent. Last cycle the Tigers added two elite offensive linemen, and landed another two in the 2022 cycle that made an immediate impact for them. With Caden Durham now in the mix, they have their elite running back to put behind that offensive line.
Do you the Tigers will be able to finish with a Top-5 recruiting class this season?? Let me know in the comments!
