Trinity Dominates Rival L.D. Bell 31–3 to Close Regular Season in Style

The Trinity Trojans tightened their grip on District play Thursday night with a commanding 31-3 road win over the L.D. Bell Blue Raiders at HEB Pennington Field in Hurst. The Trojans improved to 8-2 overall and 6-2 in district, while Bell dropped to 5-5 on the season.
From the opening kickoff, Trinity set the tone. Senior running back Jayden Hollins burst through with a 32-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter, giving the Trojans an early 7-0 lead and immediately putting Bell on its heels. As the game progressed, Trinity’s defense locked in, holding Bell scoreless through three quarters, limiting their options, and reserving the home crowd’s roar for the visiting squad.

Offensively, the Trojans kept pressure on Bell by controlling the tempo and making the most of scoring opportunities. By halftime, Trinity had stretched the lead and entered the second half fully in control. Bell’s offense struggled to gain traction, managing just a field goal while Trinity continued to carry the workload and wear down the Blue Raiders’ defense.

I’m no ref but that looked like a touchdown to me 🤷‍♂️ #txhsfb #texas #football #dallas #houston

The Blue Raiders, meanwhile, found fewer answers than expected. Turnovers, missed tackles, and the inability to sustain drives made Thursday’s outing painful, especially during a homecoming week where momentum usually runs high. Despite periodic flashes of effort, Bell couldn’t break out of the Trojans’ defensive grip and was forced into a rare three-point outing in front of a home crowd expecting more.
With this win, Trinity sends a clear message: they’re not just contenders, they’ll be a major obstacle for anyone in their path. As the playoff picture inches into focus, the Trojans’ balance between disciplined defense and efficient offense makes them one of the more complete teams in the state. Bell, meanwhile, will regroup and reassess, but Thursday’s night exposed both depth and execution issues at a time when the end-of-season push looms.
